Litter and sharps (such as needles and syringes) are unsightly and are generally associated with crime and anti-social behaviour. This can lead to areas being perceived as neglected (making them more attractive for anti-social behaviour, and also pose serious threats to the health and safety of the general public.
Litter itself will also attract pests such as rats and other disease carrying animals which can cause other hazards to human health.
Sharps are carelessly discarded by their users and pose a very real threat to the health and safety of the general public and employees that should not be underestimated, blood borne viruses such as HIV, Hepatitis A and Hepatitis B are highly infectious and any contact with them can have very serious and sometimes life threatening consequences.
We offer a service to collect and remove litter and sharps from all locations including, helping employers, employees and the general public void these dangers by -
- Undertaking sweeps for sharps in a variety of locations including - void properties, lofts, gardens, public places (i.e. parks, public toilets, bins, bus shelters).
- Removing sharps and associated paraphernalia safely and disposing of them legally at a registered clinical waste transfer site, (sharps are classed as clinical waste and as such need to be disposed of accordingly).
- Sanitising properties and affected areas once a sweep has taken place, ensuring it is safe for others.
