Suddenstrike Ltd NewsHow to proof an airport...01/10/2009 Suddenstrike has just completed a project to bird proof part of the main terminal building and air vents at Liverpool Airport. The project was intended to deter starlings and other birds from roosting on the roof of the airport to prevent threats to health and safety from bacteria and insects associated with birds nesting and from air strikes. The project was a major success, completed ahead of schedule it took three weeks to carry out. It involved the installation of wire mesh over several of the air vents to air conditioning units to the main terminal building and the installation of a polypropylene netting over a large section of the roof itself.
