Suddenstrike Ltd NewsSuddenstrike completes work on Network Rail's widening of the Armitage to Tamworth line at Lichfield26/02/2008 Network Rail is currently upgrading the West Coast mainline rail route and Suddenstrike are pleased to be apart of these works. Suddenstrikes main area along this route was the site next to the A38 at Lichfield. Here, Suddenstrike were asked by a Network Rail contractor to provide services for surveying for protected species in the area; to bird proof several bridges along the line so that they could be dismantled; provide rabbit control to ensure that the embankments where the tracks will be widened are free of Rabbits and finally to install nearly 1000m2 of rabbit protection mesh to the embankment to prevent re-infestation of the area creating a threat of subsidence of the embankments. Suddenstrike is delighted to say that this project has been a success and can be added to the various other successful rail projects carried out by Suddenstrike.
